Ayr Lawn Tennis Club

Ayr Lawn Tennis Club has a large senior membership consisting of various abilities. As a club we hope to be able to provide events for all members. If you have any suggestions of events that you would like to see take place at the club please make this known to the Club Secretary.

Various events take place throughout the season (see noticeboard or web news for updates).

Mixed Doubles American Tournament Dates

Sunday 17th May - Smith Trophy commences 2.00pm prompt.
2008 Winners were K.Dauthieu & I.Pye, Runners-up were C.Baillie & S.Murdoch
2009 Winners were N.Davie & I.Pye, Runners-up were J.Murdoch & A.Todd

Sunday 24th May - May Wyllie Cup commences 2.00pm prompt.
2008 Winners were M.White & S.Murdoch, Runners-up were A.Todd & S.Gow
2009 Winners were A.Todd & A.Paul, Runners-up were M.White & S.Gow

Sunday 7th June - Presidents & Vice Presidents Tournament (Woolwich Cup) commences 2.00pm prompt

2008 Winners were S.Gow & P.Davie, Runners-up were J.Anderson & S.Murdoch
2009 Winners were A.Todd & A.Paul, Runners-up were S.Gow & I.Pye

If you are interested in taking part in any of the above events please add your name to the forms on the club noticeboard. If you don't want to take part why not come down to the club and offer your support to the participants.

Social Doubles

Commences Sunday January 4th throughout the year, except when Master matches are played usually August/September, 1.30pm start. (Weather permitting)

No partner required, just turn up with your racket for a fun afternoon. Check news for updates on dates.

Club Championships

Singles, doubles and mixed doubles events take place. Doubles and Mixed doubles partners will be chosen by the Tournament Committee. Tournament runs from Saturday 7th August with finals day on Saturday 11th September. Look out for sign up notices in the clubhouse. Closing date for applicants is Sunday 1st August.

Adult & Child Tournaments

Fun event open to all members of the club. Please put your details on the notice in the clubhouse. Dates to be confirmed. If any adult is willing to help out to partner a junior please inform Junior Convenor.
