We had 15 juniors taking part in an American Fun Doubles Tournament on Saturday 24th July - and it stayed dry!! Players got 4 matches with different partners chosen at random. Each match was a tie-break to 21 points. At the end of the afternoon we had three players who did not lose a match and were declared the joint winners: Jonathon Baines, Rory Taylor & Zoe Sinclair. The photo below shows all of the participants.

The next Fun Doubles is an "Adult & Child" event on Saturday 7th August 2-4 pm. Note that strong juniors aged 13 and over and rated 9.2 or better should play as an "adult" in this tourney. Mums & Dads are encouraged to join in (adult visitor's fee of £3 due for non-members), junior must be an ALTC member - sign up sheet is on the junior noticeboard. This is a yellow ball competition - minitennis players entering need to be able to serve from the baseline (over or underarm) and be able to maintain a basic rally.
